SunStroke Project

Sunstroke Project (also called " Sunstroke Project " or "Sun Stroke Project" written ) is a Moldovan band founded in 2008. The formation expects to house music, combining in their songs in English vocals with violin and saxophone deposits. The band was previously concerts in over 30 European cities and 40 clubs. Together with the singer Olia Tira she represented Moldova at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo.

Band History

The formation was founded in 2008 in Chisinau by the violinist Anton Ragoza and saxophonist Sergei Stepanov. Ragoza who had visited with honors in the College of Music, Stepanov learned in the army orchestra know. The band name Sunstroke Project (Eng. " Sunstroke Project") is derived from a corresponding experience of Ragozas army days when he was stopped in the summer to trim trees with other comrades.

Together with the singer Pasha Parfeni took the formation in 2009 at the Moldovan preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest (ESC ) in Moscow. Previously, they had established themselves in the Ukrainian and Moldavian club scene. When the singer Nelly Ciobanu victory Sunstroke Project labeled with the title No Crime third place.

Sunstroke Project 2010 joined with the English song Run Away again at the Moldovan preselection for the ESC. Parfeni had been replaced by the singer Sergei Yalovitsk. Also, the solo artist Olia Tira joined the band that had previously achieved in fourth place right behind Sunstroke Project. The euro dance tracks with techno rhythms - vocally presented and backed by the violin and saxophone Ragozas deposits Stepanov of Yalovitsk and Tira - came after two semi-finals with a total of thirty starters on March 6, 2010 in the final. There, the formation " Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira " received the maximum score of the jury and televoting and won against 13 competitors.

Ragoza counts Justin Timberlake to his models, Stepanov Russian jazz saxophonist Igor Butman and Yalovitsk Michael Jackson.

Sunstroke Project Olia Tira and appeared at the 55th Euro Vision Song Contest in Oslo on 25 May 2010 in the first semifinal. They managed to qualify for the four days later held the final. Sunstroke Project Olia Tira and there covered with Run Away number 22 among 25 starters.
