Olia Tira

Olia Tira ( born August 1, 1988 in Potsdam, actually Olga Tira ) is a Moldovan singer. Together with the group Sunstroke Project and the song Run away, she represented her native country at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2010 in Norway, after they had become established in the national qualifying round with the highest scores of the jury and the audience. There, the formation took a 22nd place.


Olia Tira was born in 1988 as the daughter of an officer of the Red Army in Potsdam in the former GDR. After dislocation of the father she finished school in the city of Cahul südmoldawischen and moved in 2006 to the Moldovan Music and Theatre Academy in the capital Chisinau. In the same year she won with the song iubirea mea Moldovan decider at the eighth. In 2008 and 2009, it was represented at the preliminary round, but could neither wants to Always be (2008) still prevail Unicul meu ( 2009). In 2007, she released her debut album, Your place or mine? . It counts Madonna as their role models.
