Susan Flannery

Susan Flannery ( born July 31, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey) is an American actress and director. It is often referred to as " queen of the soap genre ", and is one Golden Globe - and Emmy -winning actress.

Life and career

Susan Flannery grew up in New York City and studied drama before she went to Hollywood. There she was discovered by film producer Irwin Allen, who hired her as a lover Towering Inferno by Robert Wagner for the film. For this illustration, she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actress.

Flannery is best known for her appearances in several television series. From 1966 to 1975 she played the role of Dr. Laura Spencer Horton in the series Days of Our Lives. In 1977 she was nominated for the series The bankers for an Emmy. From 1980 to 1981 she played the role of Leslie Steward in Dallas.

1987 Flannery was the first actress who was hired by William J. Bell for his soap opera Bold and the Beautiful, and in which she was seen by 2012 as Stephanie Douglas Forrester. 2000 and 2002 she received for her performance in each case a Daytime Emmy Award in the category Best Actress and a nomination in 2001. In some episodes, they also took over the government, which earned her nominations for the Award of the Directors Guild of America.

Flannery has a daughter and lives in Santa Barbara, California.
