Susie Garrett

Susie Garrett ( born December 29, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan; † 24 May 2002, Southfield, Michigan) was an American actress and singer.

Life

Garrett initially joined as a jazz singer in clubs in detroit. After a few supporting roles in Twilight Zone and The Jeffersons played 85 episodes long the Betty Johnson in Punky Brewster. In addition to her acting career, she studied psychology at the Shaw College. In addition, she founded with her sister Marla Gibbs Crossroads Art Academy acting school in Los Angeles.

On 24 May 2002 she died at Providence Hospital in Southfield at the age of 72 years to cancer. Buried it is on the Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
