Suzan DelBene

Suzan DelBene Kay ( born February 17, 1962 in Selma, Alabama) is an American politician. Since November 6, 2012, it represents the state of Washington in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

From a young age came Suzan DelBene to Bellevue in Washington State. Later the family moved to Mercer Iceland. Until 1983 she studied at Reed College in Portland (Oregon ). Between 1989 and 1998 she worked for Microsoft Corporation as a department director. After that, she worked for other companies in the board level. In 2000, she was CEO of Nimble Technology. Between 2004 and 2007 she served as vice president at Microsoft in the mobile communication business. After that, she was a consultant of some companies. From 2010 to 2012 she served as Director of the State Administration of Taxation of Washington.

Politically DelBene is a member of the Democratic Party. In 2010, she ran unsuccessfully against even the Republican Dave Reichert for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC After the resignation of MEP Jay Inslee, who wanted to concentrate on the election campaign as governor of Washington, she was elected to the due election for the first seat of their state as his successor in Congress, where on November 6, 2012 their new mandate took.
