Sylvester William Treinen

Sylvester William Treinen ( born November 19, 1917 in Donnelly, Minnesota, USA; † 30 September 1996) was Bishop of Boise City.

Life

Sylvester William Treinen received on 11 June 1946, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 19 May 1962, he was named by Pope John XXIII. Bishop of Boise City. The Bishop of Bismarck, Hilary Baumann Hacker, donated to him on July 25th of that year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Saint Cloud, Peter William Bartholome, and the Bishop of Sioux Falls, Anthony Lambert High. The inauguration took place on August 3, 1962.

On August 17, 1988 Pope John Paul II accepted the Sylvester William Treinen put forward reasons of age resignation.
