Syria at the 2012 Summer Olympics

Syria participated in London at the 2012 Olympic Games. It was the twelfth overall participation in the Olympic Summer Games. The Syrian National Olympic Committee nominated ten athletes in seven sports.

Due to the ongoing civil war in Syria, there were concerns about the Syrian participation in the Olympic Games. The President of the Syrian National Olympic Committees, General Mowaffak Joumaa, said in April 2012 on ITV News: ".
