France at the 2012 Summer Olympics
France took part in London at the 2012 Olympic Games. There was a total of 26 competing in the Olympic Summer Games. From the Comité National Olympique et Sportif Français 332 Athletes were nominated in 24 sports.
Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the epee fencer Laura Flessel - Colovic.
The steeplechaser Nour Eddine - Gezzar had at the national championships 17 June 2012 a positive doping result (EPO) and was suspended then. End of August 2012 rejected the International Court of Sport from his appeal against a ten -year ban.
