Tabotaki is a rural municipality in the department of Bouza in Niger.

Geography

Tabotaki lies in the Sahel. The neighboring municipalities are Garhanga the northwest, Ibohamane in the north, Azèye in the northeast, Babankatami in the east, the south and Bouza Déoulé in the West. The municipality is divided into 13 administrative villages and 28 hamlets. The main town of the rural community is the administrative village Tabotaki.

History

The rural community Tabotaki originated as an administrative unit in 2002 as part of a nationwide administrative reform a part of the canton Bouza.

Population

At the 2001 census Tabotaki had 24 368 inhabitants. For the year 2010 31.914 inhabitants were calculated.

Economy and infrastructure

The municipality is located in a zone is operated in the rain-fed agriculture.
