Taeyang

Dong Young- bae ( Kor. 동영배, born 18 May 1988 in Uijeongbu, South Korea) is a South Korean pop and R & B singer and model. On stage he is under the pseudonym Taeyang ( 태양 Kor. ) and Sol (proper spelling: SOL ) is known.

After he appeared in the music video for A- yo the South Korean rapper Jinusean, he also wrote his training contract with YG Entertainment at the age of 12 years. After six years of vocal and dance training he made his debut in 2006 as part of the South Korean boy band Big Bang, which was able to record many successes for themselves.

Life and career

Taeyang gained his first experience in 2003 when he took over the rap part of the song Prayer by Labelmate Wheesung. The original plan was that he and the current tape partner G -Dragon should establish a duo under the name GDYB. The project was not realized. Instead, they sought four more apprentices to TOP, Daesung, Seungri, and Hyun Seung to create the group Big Bang. Hyun Seung did not meet the requirements and the only one left YG. The remaining five guys got artist name and so was from Dong Young- bae, Taeyang ( 태양 Kor.; sun ), although originally had been talking Taekwon. With Big Bang Taeyang experienced many successes and the band is still one of the most successful South Korean boy bands.

Published alongside his activities with Big Bang Taeyang own material. His first extended play, which was hot, he published on 22 May 2008 and posted more than 50,000 units sold for itself. His first digital single was followed on 15 October 2009, followed by the second, Wedding Dress, on November 13, 2009.

His first studio album published under the title Taeyang Solar on July 1, 2010. A month later, in August, he published in some countries, his first international album, which was called Solar International. The album Solar has sold nearly 85,000 times in South Korea, making his most successful recordings.

For the Japan debut of Big Bang, he chose the stage name Sol (proper spelling: SOL) to do so. During the Japan promotions of Big Bang, he also worked with Japanese singer Thelma Aoyama together and released his first Japanese collaboration Fall in Love, which, however, can accommodate 29 had to be satisfied on the Oricon charts and up to 5,000 times in could sell Japan.

Since 2012, Taeyang was working on a second studio album, which is expected to appear in September 2013, but has not yet been published. CEO Yang Hyun -suk of YG Entertainment, Taeyang was this the first time a free hand in the production of the studio album. However, a digital single was released, entitled Ringa Linga in November 2013.
