Tagalog (Unicode block)

The Unicode block Tagalog (English Tagalog, U 1700 to U 171 F ) contains the Baybayin script, which was used among other things for the writing of the Tagalog language. It was used from the 14th century, but fell from the 17th century out of use and is one of the four Filipino writings ( Tagalog, Hanunoo, Buid and Tagbanuwa ), taken with version 3.2 in the Unicode standard.
