Taner DemirbaÅŸ

Taner Demirbaş ( born November 20, 1978 in Araklı ) is a former Turkish football player. He was a two-time top scorer of the TFF 1 Lig, he reached for the seasons 2005/ 06 ( with Ufuk Ates ) and 2006 /07. He is one of the most successful second league goalscorers in general and the most successful of the second division times of the 2000s in particular.

Career

Association

Demirbaş came in the northern Turkish port city Araklı to the world, while some sources indicate as the birthplace Ereğli. The jump to professional football, he reached the second division Erdemir Ereglispor. Here he was admitted as an amateur in the professional squad in the spring and, on 16 April 1995 in League match against Sakaryaspor his professional debut. Already in his second match, he scored his first goal against Çaykur Rizespor it. In the last game of the season, in the Ereglispor on DÇ Karabükspor, scored Demirbaş 3-1 win his side all three goals and gave as the first hat-trick of his professional career. After two years of Merinosspor he moved to first division side Bursaspor in the summer of 1997. In Bursaspor he competed in Strum with players like Murat Sözkesen, Elvir Baljić and Cafer Aydin and could not prevail. He came up to the winter break in only four league games for use and scoring three goals. In spring 1997 Demirbaş was delivered to the second division Adiyamanspor. In this eastern Turkish club Demirbaş experienced only a disappointing second half in which he could not score a goal in ten games. In the second division season 1998/99 Demirbaş continued his old form. With 21 goals this season, he became one of the most successful strikers in the game time. The first half of the 1999/00 season he scored eleven goals and left the club for the winter break towards league rival Konya SRs Endüstrispor. In this club, he scored to end of the season just two goals and left with seasonal flow the club.

After saying goodbye to Endüstrispor he joined in the summer of 2000 to the third division Adana Demirspor. In this club he experienced his highest-scoring season. The third- League 2000/01 season he finished with 39 goals as top scorer of the third Lig and was so instrumental in his team's championship. Since the summer of 2001, the Turkish professional football have been extended from three to four leagues, the Championship of the 3rd league did not mean how else move up to the second- highest division, but merely to remain in the third-highest league. In his second season at Demirspor Demirbaş scored 26 goals and was instrumental in the fact that his club climb through the playoff win the league in the second Türkiye Futbol Ligi A Kategorisi. With 19 goals, he was behind Yunus Altun second scorer of the second division and for the third consecutive time leading scorer of his club.

In the summer of 2003 Demirbaş finally left Demirspor and changed within the league to Mersin İdman Yurdu. He scored 20 goals in 17 games and was together with Ufuk Ates Altay Izmir scorer, although he had only played in the second half in the second league. At season's end, he returned to Malatyaspor. This association had in the meantime missed relegation in the Süper Lig and therefore kept Demirbaş for the upcoming second league season in the squad. In Malatyaspor Demirbaş this time succeeded the expected standard of performance. He scored 27 goals for the Central Anatolian in 33 league games and defended his top scorer. His team finished the League in third place in the table and missed in the subsequent play-off the last possibility of ascension. In the season 2007/ 08 he continued his hit security is continuing and achieved until the winter break eleven goals in 19 games. But since Malatyaspor lived through turbulent times was in financial difficulties, many players left the club. In the new season, he started at third division Alanyaspor and found here gradually back to his old form. After he scored eight goals in 13 games before the winter break, he moved to the second round for the transfer fee of 150,000 Turkish lira against the league rival Elazığspor. In this club he spent one season and went with contract end to league rivals Bugsas Spor. After one season for Bugsas Spor played, Demirbaş moved to his old club Adiyamanspor. After playing the season 2011/12 for Adiyamanspor, he ended his playing career in the summer.

Demirbaş played in 1998 a total of three times for the Turkish U- 17 national team, scoring four goals.
