Taoufik Makhloufi

Taoufik Makhloufi (Arabic توفيق مخلوفي born April 29, 1988 in Souq Ahras ) is an Algerian middle and long distance runners.

Career

Makhloufi could first draw attention to themselves in the Pan-African Games in Maputo in 2011, when he won the gold medal in the 800 - meter race and the bronze medal in the 1500 meter race. In the Africa Championships 2012 in Porto Novo, he won his final race on the 800m distance in 1:43,88 min and placed at the same time a personal best. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012, he started both the 800m and 1500m. In the contest over 1500m Makhloufi qualified and skilful first places in the flow and in the semifinals for the final run. On the 800m track then he already made ​​his race lead after 150m early on, and he was disqualified by the IAAF for the rest of the games.
