Tattendorf
Tattendorf is a municipality with 1330 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Baden in Lower Austria.
Geography
Tattendorf located in the industrial district, in Lower Austria. The area of the municipality covers 14.35 square kilometers. 3.15 percent of the area is forested. There are no other local villages.
History
In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Pannonia. For the first time in 1114 a Adaloldus de Tatindorf is mentioned. 1529 (First Siege of Vienna ) and 1683 ( second Siege of Vienna ), the town was burnt down in wars against the Turks, in 1619 the church and town was destroyed by the Hungarian rebels under Gábor Bethlen.
Since 1256 wine production that thrives particularly well here. Today mostly red varieties are grown.
Religions
1672 there was a pilgrimage to a picture of Mary in an oak, that was in 1673 but already prohibited. 1688, the oak was felled and excavated. The Lady Chapel was built in 1903 again.

Mayor of the municipality is pure Frank Dietrich Vice Mayor Robert Ranz, both team Dieter / SPÖ Tattendorf ( SPT).
In the council, there are a total of 19 seats following distribution of seats: Team Dieter / SPÖ Tattendorf ( SPT) 10, Independent list Tattendorf ( UHL ) 6, Tattendorf People's Party (ÖVP ) 3
Economy and infrastructure
Non-agricultural workplaces, there were 66 in 2001, according to the survey in 1999, there were 41 agricultural and forestry holdings. Employment were according to the census 2001 631 people, was thus the participation rate in 2001 at 53.73 percent.
In 2003, on average there was at the site seven unemployed.
