Taupo

Taupo, Taupo actually written in reference to the pronunciation of Māori, is a 22,300 inhabitants, in the center of New Zealand's North Island. It is the administrative seat of the Taupo District, and also its largest city.

Geography

The town of Taupo is located at the northeastern end of Lake Taupo directly at the only outlet of the lake, the Waikato River. It formed the northern settlement focus of the lake. History
