Taylor Dayne
Taylor Dayne ( born March 7, 1962 in Baldwin, Long Iceland, New York as Leslie Wunderman ) is an American pop and dance singer.
Career
Taylor Dayne began after high school, to sing professionally, and graduated from a classical vocal training at the Manhattan School of Music. At first she was a singer of the bands Felony and Next.
Later, she borrowed money from her father to produce the song Tell It to My Heart. This brought her in 1987 not only a recording contract with Arista, but was also one of their biggest hits. Tell It to My Heart was released in November 1987 and immediately landed in the top five in many countries. In March 1988, she reached the first place in Germany. Even with the singles Prove Your Love, I'll Always Love You and Do not Rush Me from the album Tell It to My Heart, Taylor Dayne was in 1988 placed in the international charts.
In October 1989, she released her second album Can not Fight Fate. Although it fell short of sales expectations, Taylor Dayne was able to secure their only local peak position on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. with Love Will Lead You Back in the spring of 1990.
