Teemu Elomo

Teemu Elomo ( born January 13, 1979 in Turku ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 when the Dragons de Rouen in France's Ligue Magnus under contract. His older brother Miika was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Teemu Elomo began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of TPS Turku for the first team to 2001 he was active from 1996 in the SM- liiga. With his team he won the 1999, 2000 and 2001 no less than three times in a row, the Finnish championship. In his rookie year, the 1996/97 season, he was named runner-up with TPS. At European level, the winger won with his team's 1997 European Hockey League, in 2000, he took his team to third place. Parallel to the game mode with the professional team of TPS 1998 when he was master of A-Juniors -SM- liiga. From 1995 to 1997 he was also responsible for Kiekko - 67 in the second class I divisioona used.

From 2001 to 2005 Elomo played for the Espoo Blues in the SM- liiga. He then went to other European countries, where he signed a contract with Mora IK in the Swedish Elitserien. After he suffered relegation to the second-class HockeyAllsvenskan in the 2007/ 08 season with Mora, he initially remained another year in the team. The 2009/10 season began, the former Junior World and European Champion at the Hungarian club Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in the Erste Bank Hockey League. For the team, he completed only seven games in which he gave three assists, he moved to Herning Blue Fox, with whom he came in third place in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen end of the season. For this success he contributed 17 goals and 19 Assists in 37 games in total.

In the season 2010/11 Elomo stood by the Swedish second division Tingsryds AIF under contract. For the following season, he was obliged by the Dragons de Rouen from the French Ligue Magnus.

Internationally

For Finland Elomo took at junior level at the Under-18 European Junior Championships in 1996 and 1997, as well as the U20 World Junior Championships in 1998 and 1999 in part. In the Junior European Championships he won the gold or the silver medal with his team. He was also in 1998 with Finland Junior World Champion. In 2003 he was senior level in the squad of his country at the Euro Hockey Tour.
