Teresina de Goiás

Teresina de Goiás is a small Brazilian municipality in the state of Goiás in the mesoregion Northern Goiás and in the micro-region of Chapada dos Veadeiros. It lies north of the Brazilian capital Brasília and Goiânia northeast of the capital.

Hydrographic location

Teresina de Goiás is drained northward by the Rib. dos Bois, where it flows on the northern border in the Rio Paranã.

Climate and vegetation

The climate is typically tropical semi- humid, with high temperatures in summer to 20-24 ° C with a relative humidity 75-80 % &nbso; and heavy rainfall. In the winter dryness and drought prevails with a duration of four to five months. The vegetation is characterized by cerrado ecosystem.
