Terra Naomi
Terra Naomi ( born June 23, 1979 in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA ) is an independent Pop / Rock / Alternative / indie singer who primarily by the video of the song ' Say It 's Possible ', which was released in 2006 on YouTube international fame. She lives in Los Angeles ( California ), writes and sings her own songs and plays the piano and guitar.
Biography
Terra Naomi spent the first years of life on a farm in Saratoga Springs. Later, her family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she spent six years until they finally settled in Schenectady, New York, the place where her father, a plastic surgeon, had grown up. Her mother is a social worker and she has two brothers.
Musical career
Naomi received training in classical piano and singing in Interlochen Performing Arts Camp in Michigan and Belvoir Terrace Fine & Performing Arts Camp for girls in Lenox, Michigan. During this time she also took part in the Aspen Opera Theatre Program. After college, Terra Naomi moved to New York City and began writing his own songs. During this time she also began to play the guitar. She played by various clubs in Manhattan, such as The Bitter End, The Sidewalk Cafe and The Living Room. After a self-organized tour of the U.S. (2003 ), which in Seattle came to an end in New York City its beginning and at the Bumbershoot Festival, Naomi went to Los Angeles to work with producer Paul Fox ( XTC, 10,000 Maniacs, Sixpence None the Richer, Edwin McCain, Phish and The Sugarcubes ) cooperate. In the years 2003, 2004 and 2005 she undertook tours of the United States. Some times they came to Canada and to England (where she was even at the festival "In The City" in Manchester ).
2006 began her rise through YouTube. She has published videos of their "virtual summer tour " where they presented performances from her apartment in Hollywood and questions -and-answer video entitled "Ask a Wanna -be Rockstar" online. My video for the song " Say It's Possible" was released in June 2006. Many users then presented hundreds of cover versions as a tribute to this video online, also supported by a video in which Naomi shows the necessary guitar chords. Some fans even translated the song into Spanish, Italian and Chinese.
Due to their success as an online Artist rising number of media interested in them, such as Reuters, Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, Washington Post, Salon.com and the British Sunday Times. Their song " Clean" then managed even on the soundtrack of the film " Sherry Baby" with actress Maggie Gyllenhaal. Her songs " Say It 's Possible ," " Flesh For Bones" and " Go Quietly " inferior to the new NBC reality show " Junior Year Abroad".
Contract
In autumn 2006, Terra Naomi signed a contract with Universal Music Publishing Group. In December 2006, the contract was followed by the major label Iceland Records.

The CD includes Virtually acoustic recordings of their Virtual Summer Tour on YouTube. Due to the many requests from users it came to this publication of 1000 CDs. In June 2007 her official video was released to " Say it 's possible". For the shooting people were asked the world to send her a short video in which they hold a small sign that says what they want. For the album " Under the Influence ", the two single releases ' Say it 's possible " and" Not sorry " and other songs that can be seen on youtube.com, were re-recorded.
