Terrapin Station ( Limited Edition) ( sometimes Terrapin Limited) is a live triple album of the band Grateful Dead.

History

The songs on the album were recorded in Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland on March 15, 1990 and published with their own Grateful Dead Records label in September 1997.

The concert was the second of their tour along the east coast of the United States and was held at Phil Lesh 's 50th birthday, which reproduced 61 Revisited that night the Bob Dylan song Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues from the album Highway. Also written by Brent Mydland song Easy to Love You was performed live for the first time in 10 years. Also can be heard on the album a rare Beatles cover version of revolution. The last time the revolution was played 5 years ago.

From the same album Terrapin Station the eponymous song Terrapin Station and Samson and Delilah is included. From time last album, Built to Last, only the song I Will Take You Home found its way into the live repertoire. From the temporal successor album Without a Net, however, the songs Walkin ' Blues, Althea, Cassidy and China Cat Sunflower were used. The difference is mainly due, however, that Built to Last a studio album, Without a Net is a live album that was recorded during the previous tour, and thus contains a number of songs from the typical live repertoire of the band.

During the same tour, the album Dozin 'at the Knick was produced.

For Mydland it should be the last tour. He died in June 1990 from an overdose.

For the album cover, the psychedelic artist Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse were again responsible.
