Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial

The Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial is a memorial on the northwest corner of the intersection 3rd Street and Pine Street in Philadelphia. A room on the first floor of the house was the home of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in winter 1797/1798. The house evokes the life and work of the Polish patriot and hero of the American Revolution.

Since 21 October 1972, the site is a national monument and is one with an area of ​​80 m² next to the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial, as the smallest " national park" of the United States.

The house was also the birthplace of Colonel John Nixon (1733-1808), of the Declaration of Independence in the State House Yard leaving first on June 8, 1776 and was an ancestor of President Richard Nixon.
