Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul

Thawatchai Damrong - Ongtrakul ( Thai: ธวัช ชัย ดำรงค์ อ่อง ตระกูล, born June 25, 1965 in Krabi) is a Thai football player who plays in the Thai Regional League Division 2 for the FC Krabi.

Career

His career began in 1986 at Thawatchai Osotspa M- 150th Overall, he completed 252 games for the club, scoring 60 goals. At first, he played at the club until 1999. Doing so, he reached in 1999 with the team the final of the Thai Cup 1999. Afterwards he signed a two-year contract at the Sembawang Rangers in the Singaporean S-League. He then moved within Singapore to Tanjong Pagar United. With two clubs he could not win a title or reach the final. He then returned to Thailand back to his old club Osotspa M -150. With the Queen's Cup in 2003, he won his first major title of his club career. In 2006 he went like so many Thai footballer to Vietnam. For one year he played for CLB Dong Nai Vietnam in the second league. After only one year in neighboring countries, he moved back to Thailand again to his former club. At the age of 42 years, after all, he had eight inserts for Osostpa in the Thai Premier League. After again just one year, he joined the Thailand Division 1 League for FC Royal Thai Police, for which he, however, completed just a game. In 2009, he went even deeper league, but returned to his birthplace, Krabi. There he was alsKapitän FC Krabi, which - founded in 2009 - competed in the new Regional League Division 2. His comeback as a player he was in 2010. Due to the Verletzungsnot the trained by Him Pattaya United, Thawatchai applied for a player pass for the second half of the Thai Premier League 2010. Against the TTM FC Phicht he joined shortly before the end of the game it self.

In 1998 he participated with the national team at the Asian Games. In the quarter- final against South Korea from a free kick from 30 meters, he scored the decisive goal, which brought Thailand into the next round. It was the first time that Thailand could reach the semifinals of the Asian Games. In 1999, he won the gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games. In the final against Vietnam, he scored in the 39th minute 1-0.
