Born in 1953, Nick Saloman had the same as a student in the late 1960s his first band name. Rather fun he had 250 copies of his first album pressing, but the sales Funhouse Records in Kent called surprising, and ordered 500 of them, because the vinyl albums to sell well.

Salomans goal was in his own words: ". I wanted a Hendrix / Wipers / Byrds sound but with a distinctly British feel" The following albums until 1988 were also included in the home studio and published on his own record label Vorontsov. Then he got a contract with Reckless Records in the UK and the USA.

All early albums were re-released on CD and thus Reckless financed the recording and getting out of the sixth album, Any Gas Faster, with a professional studio was used for the first time. From then on, the band with live performances began to tour. Another album from 1990, Magic Eye, was a collaboration with John Charles Alder, better known as Twink and his band Pink Fairies. On the next album, New River Head (1990 ), participated as a guest musician Barry Dransfield and David Tibet. The following year, appeared London Stone, with this album Reckless was very unhappy. After immediately after this break together, Saloman decided the album again on their own label Vorontsov bring out. Also, all following albums have appeared there.
