Action
The unsuccessful London actor Victor Bukowski hurries through the streets to waylay his ex-girlfriend Sylvia on her way home. Sylvia, who works as a psychologist wants, one day later marry her fiancé, Dave. Victor, who has cheated on her eight months ago with a fellow actor, and then leave, she wants to dissuade and persuade them to return to him. But Sylvia does not change his mind. In the evening, Victor walks into a bar and pours the red-haired barmaid from his heart. He tells her about his affair and how he had stood on the day of the annual Carnival in Notting Hill filled with guilt him Sylvia. Background
The film was shot in London's Notting Hill. Its world premiere took place at the World Film Festival in Montreal on August 30, 1998. On September 15, 1998, he was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival. This was followed by presentations at several other film festivals, including the Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya in October 1998 and the Fanta Porto in March 1999. Was for the lexicon of international film Dear yesterday than never ... a " [z ] ügig and afloat staged comedy with amusing and romantic details ". On the Korean Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, the film was in competition for the best contribution. At the World Film Festival Rafa Russo received an award in the category Best Screenplay; María Ripoll was again nominated for the Grand Prix of Americas of the festival.
In 1999, Lieber was yesterday than never ... nominated for Best Picture for the Golden Círculo Precolombino the Festival de Cine de Bogota; Ripoll finally won a Bronze Círculo Precolombino. In 2000 followed for Ripoll nominated for a Goya for Best New Director. In the same year the film was nominated for the Imagen Award.
