The Paradigm Shift (English for "the paradigm shift " ) is the eleventh studio album by the American nu-metal band Korn. It was published on 8 October 2013. The album was produced by Don Gilmore and the first time since in the Mirror Take a Look (2003) is a founding member and guitarist Brian Welch involved again. Musically the album goes back to the grain origins while pointing the band in recent albums rather experimental.

Background

One year after the release of The Path of Totality first ideas on a new album grain were loud. On 2 May 2013, the band announced that founding member Brian " Head " Welch had joined the band again and will participate according to his eight -year hiatus to play on the new album.

The first single Never Never appeared on August 12, 2013. The title Love & meth already transpired on August 12, 2013, still well ahead of the release of the album. The title Lullaby for a Sadist was written in 2010 but not released on the 2011 album The Path of Totality published because he did not fit into the concept of dubstep -influenced album.

Style

Stylistically, the album leans in with the origins grain before the band from the album See You on the Other Side (2005) increasingly distant from their typical style.
