History

Creation and publication of Sections (2006-2010)

In the fourth year of secondary school, the school friends Derya Nagle and Lori Peri formed the band at the age of 15 years. Shortly thereafter, a friend of Derya Nagle guitarist Joaquin Ardiles came adds to the band. As a drummer also joined Calvin Smith of the band, which went with Lori Peri in elementary school and has been at the time of the formation of the band at another school. As a singer, Sean McWeeney band won for himself, which starred previously in another band, so that, except for Calvin Smith, all went to the same school.

In March 2009, the band released their first EP under the name Sections, which the band chose, as the band members while studying the formation phase of the EP at different universities and this was making it difficult to work on the publication. The EP was only digitally available and on the first song of the EP, which also named Sections and was derived from which the name of the EP, was a guitar solo musician Graham "Pin" Pinney, who was then at the already defunct band Sikth played, and Martin Goulding from the band linear Sphere heard. Record deal and release of their debut album (2011-2012)

In February 2011, the band played as part of "The League of Extraordinary Djentlemen " tour alongside Periphery and Monuments their first tour outside the UK. Second studio album Mouth of Swords (since 2013)

Currently the band is working on their second studio album, which bear the name Mouth of Swords and is to be published in early September. In addition to on a song Tommy Rogers, the singer of the band Between the Buried and Me, occur as a guest musician.

Style

The band stands out especially for its change of distorted and clean guitar parts, while primarily orient the clear parts of the songs to elements of pop and jazz. The vocals of Sean McWeeney also takes place in the exchange between guturalem and clear vocals. The texts of the songs are mostly of social issues and are influenced by literature. So the song Sections example, is based on Dante Alighieri's Inferno.

During the recordings of the first EP Sections used Derya Nagle an electric guitar the brand Black Machine, while Joaquin Ardiles played on a guitar by Schecter. Today, both use electric guitars of the brand Wirebird representing copies of the Telecaster series from Fender. Both guitars are fitted with pickups of the brand Bareknuckle and, in addition to the dropped- D tuning, with some songs tuned to an unusual guitar tuning, in which the low E string, with a tuned according to the standard tuning guitar, on an A is voted down ( AADGHE ). The idea came from the bands Pantera and Sikth, which also used this tuning in some of their songs.
