The Sum of Us ( Alternative title: The Trouble with Love) is an Australian comedy drama from the year 1994.

Action

The widowed Harry Mitchell and his adult son Jeff live together in a single household. Jeff is gay, while Harry tries to get to know a new woman through a marriage agency. Jeff has fallen in love with the gardener and Greg has a date with him in the pub, while Harry gets to know about the Agency also secluded Joyce Johnson.

Harry understood at once perfectly with Greg, while there is some tension between Joyce and Jeff, as Joyce has a very conservative attitude to homosexuality. However, these are forgotten when Harry suffers a stroke.
