But this would rather have the more profitable mine, which is why he wants to avoid using Cactus Jack that the loan is repaid.

Meanwhile, the muscular cowboy Schonchen stranger has entered the city, waiting for Parodys daughter, Charming Jones to bring both she and Jones money safe passage home. Charming, however, is interested in rather for his muscles and flirts Schonchen to permanent and is always puzzled how naive and blind this seems to be.

With the help of the book Badmen of the West itself cactus makes in order to pursue them and to tear the transported money itself. But his ideas are so creative too, nothing seems to work, and both Schonchen and Charming as well as the money remains far from him. He tried going to attack the two to stick to roll over with rocks or to ride with the help of the Indians, who are not even in a position reasonably to hunt them. None of this works out, and Cactus Jack finally throw his book away and says that he will never again try to copy gunslingers like Jesse James, Doc Holliday and Billy the Kid.

Criticism

The film received negative to scathing reviews. The website Rotten Tomatoes was one of 7 evaluated film reviews 0 positive and also the general public was adjusted towards the film rather negative, because in parallel evaluated by 5,195 users only 41% of this movie is positive ( as at 23 April 2011) Even in contemporary criticism the film was not received less negative. So Janet Maslin wrote in the New York Times that the film would be as silly as not wanting to end ( Which is almost as dopey as it is interminable ). She criticized above all, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had a greater burden for the film as he could lift himself (As for Mr. Schwarzenegger, he's more of a weight on the movie than even he might also be able to lift. ). However, they also praised the stunts of the then 62 -year-old Kirk Douglas ( Mr. Douglas does a lot of stunts, some of them reasonably good ).

" Completely unoriginal comedy that is able to save neither the star cast nor the backdrop of Monument Valley. "

" Disk genre spoof that buried themselves."

"The idea of Arnold Schwarzenegger in cowboy outfit is so unusual that you can" Cactus Jack " alone seen it, or must have discussed. [ ... ] Otherwise, it's a wacky Road Runner implementation, in the otherwise so highly respected Kirk Douglas herumkaspert on silliest and his best are to be Wiley E. Coyote. For Schwarzenegger fans remember, but skippable, Douglas fans a must! "

" Thomas Dannenberg endeavors in the German dubbing, although still partly to beat a little pun in the plate- Western comedy, is so out on a limb but alone. The principle of a real comics to film, was in any case largely wrong. Perhaps due to the well-known cast out of interest consumable, but hardly anything for entertaining 80 minutes. The awkward and unfortunate Kirk Douglas is making itself rather completely to the monkey while Arni feels a little uncomfortable in his role. But in his subsequent films, he should also be less noticeable by his acting abilities then yes. The little worth listening to country music and the antiquated knitting technology do the rest Certainly not a second time. "
