Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur

Tigbao is a Philippine municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur on the island of Mindanao. It has 19,300 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 18 barangays.

The community is located about 32 km west from the center of the provincial capital of Pagadian City and is accessible via the Maharlika Highway. The municipal area, the 1,152 meter high Mount Timolan rises and at its foot lies the Maragang Lake, both of which are part of the nature reserve Mount Timolan Protected Landscape.
