Dinas (Zamboanga del Sur)

Dinas is a Philippine municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur on the island of Mindanao. It has 34 768 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 30 barangays. The community is described as rural. The name of the village derives from the language of Maguindanao, the words Di Nas mean not unhappy.

The community of Dinas is situated on the northwest coast of the bay of Illana on the Baganian Peninsula, about 39.6 km southwest of the provincial capital of Pagadian City.
