Lakewood (Zamboanga del Sur)

Lakewood is a Philippine municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur on the island of Mindanao. It has 19,645 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 14 barangays.

Lakewood was named after the Wood Lake (English Lake Wood), located in the southwestern municipality and operated by the fishing in the lake and the developed tourism is an important source of income for the local population. The municipality is situated approximately 42 km west of the provincial capital Pagadian City, north of the nature reserve, Mount Timolan Protected Landscape and is accessible via the Maharlika Highway.
