Tim Russ
Timothy Darrell Russ ( born June 22, 1956 in Washington, DC) is an American actor and director.
Personal
Russ grew up as the son of an officer of the U.S. Air Force at various bases. After high school, he moved to the St. Edwards Private University in Austin, Texas, and studied theater. He lives with his girlfriend in Los Angeles and has a daughter.
Career
During his studies he received in 1977 his first professional engagement in the television series Masterpiece Theater. In 1985, he guest starred in The Twilight Zone and Hunter. A year later he made his film debut in the musical drama Cross Road Blues - pact with the devil, followed by roles in Fire with Fire - Forbidden passion, and the white of the eye. When the Star Trek television series Star Trek: The Next Generation was in preparation, Russ said, unsuccessfully auditioned for the role of Geordi La Forge.
In 1988 he was cast as one of the supporting cast of the TV series The Highwayman, but this was discontinued after only 9 episodes. He also continued to play guest roles in series such as Hill Street Blues, The Fresh Prince of Bel -Air and Melrose Place. His first Star Trek roles he played in 1993 in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He also appeared in the 1994 film Star Trek: Generations with.
In 1995 he was for the role of the Vulcan Tuvok in the television series Star Trek: Voyager occupied, he played over the full term of the TV series to its end in 2001. By 2003, he released four albums as a singer. In 2006, Russ in the star-studded fan film Star Trek: Of Gods And Men director. Among other things, Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig, Grace Lee Whitney, Alan Ruck, Garrett Wang, Chase Masterson and JG Hertzler to see in this film.
From 2007 to 2009 he played a supporting role in the sitcom Samantha Who? alongside Christina Applegate in the lead role. From 2007 to 2012 Russia had recurring appearances in the television series iCarly.
