Tobias Regner

Tobias Regner (born 5 August 1982 Teisendorf ) is a German rock singer. He is best known as the winner of the third season of the talent show Germany sucht den Superstar which aired from November 2005 to March 2006 of the television station RTL.

Already as a teenager he was at the local music school for five years and one year of classic jazz piano lessons. First appearances as a musician he had the mid-1990s as a member of the New metal band Black Jack's. Later he played with Six -Up and won with the band in 2000 in Bad Reichenhall a talent competition. In 2001, he got into the band Sacarium a frontman, founded the same year by his brother. Since 2001 there are regular concerts of Metallica tribute band.

After graduation Regner began at the University of Salzburg to study communication science. Immediately after graduating in July 2005, he applied as a candidate for the casting to the RTL show Germany sucht den Superstar and won against 14,000 other participants.

His debut single I Still Burn rose in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, a number one in the singles charts. In Germany the title was already after the first week, the best-selling single for two years. The album Straight placed himself at the head of the German album charts and reached gold status after a short time. The height of his success, celebrated Tobias Regner with two nominations for the Echo 2007 Best in the categories Artist National Rock / Pop and Best Newcomer.

From June 2010 to June 2011 moderated sprinkler weekly Hard Rock broadcast BOBs Harte string on the Hessian radio station RADIO BOB!.

In spring 2010, Regner published with a new band and recently only by his surname, a new album called Short immortal, this time with German songs. With another album, acoustic, which appeared in 2011, sprinklers went on a concert tour in 2012.

Since his published in July 2013, produced by Tobias Röger album Better Now Tobias Regner occurs again under his full name. To his band include Ben Moertl ( bass), Rupert Hagenauer (guitar) and sprinkler brother Michael ( "Michi " ) sprinkler (* 1986) on drums.

Regner is a professor of guitar courses at two Bavarian folk high schools.
