TÅkamachi, Niigata
Tokamachi (Japanese十 日 町 市, - shi) is a city in the interior of the Niigata prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.
Geography
Tokamachi located south of Nagaoka and east of Joetsu.
History
The city Tokamachi was founded on March 31, 1954 from the former municipalities Tokamachi, Kawaji, Nakajo and Rokka.
Attractions
- The archaeological and ( native ) history museum Tokamachi shows finds from the excavation at nearby Sasayama, and historical features of the region, such as the manufacture of woven fabrics.
