Tony Tolbert

Tony Lewis Tolbert ( born December 29, 1967 in Tuskegee, Alabama, USA) is an American former American football player. He played defensive end in the National Football League ( NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys.

Career

Tolbert played at the University of Texas at El Paso and in 1989 became bound by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of NFL Draft 1989 85th. In his first year as a pro, he was operating time in defense of the Cowboys and could reach two bag. The crew of the Cowboys had been built by the team owner Jerry Jones of the Cowboys and the team's coach Jimmy Johnson of young, success-hungry players and has become the dominant football team of the 90s. Tolbert could therefore win the Super Bowl with his team three times, the 1992 Super Bowl XXVII against it against the Bills with Bufallo 52:17, in the year against the same team the Super Bowl XXVIII with 30:13 and in 1995 the Super Bowl XXX the Pittsburgh Steelers with 27:17. Along with Russell Maryland, he is the only player of the team from Texas, who belonged to the early formation of the defense in the Super Bowl victories. After the 1997 season Tolbert was released after nine seasons and 144 games in the regular season. He achieved a total of 59 Sacks and intercept a pass ( interception ) and these carry back to a touchdown in the opponent's end zone.

Tolbert played once in 1996 Pro Bowl, the season's final game of the best football player of the season.
