Accidents

The worst train accident on the track took place on 30 April 1987 in Ansbach, other than a traveling freight train to Würzburg drove into the side of a vehicle permanently running to Stuttgart D- train. A total of four cars of the train derailed D and slid down the embankment, where it damaged several buildings. The salvage of the car was difficult because the car threatened to crash. One person died, many more were seriously injured. The cause of the misfortune was the disregard of the STOP field- Ausfahrsignals by the engineer of the freight train, which erroneously referred to the standing ride exit signal of the D- train on his train.
