Trevor Letowski

Trevor Letowski ( born April 5, 1977 in Thunder Bay, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player and current coach, who during his active career, among other things for the Phoenix Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League played at the position of right winger.

Career

Trevor Letowski began his career in 1994 in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sarnia Sting. NHL Entry Draft 1996 Phoenix Coyotes selected him in the seventh round of the 174th place. In 1997 he joined the American Hockey League with the Springfield Falcons, where he played until 1999. In the 1998/99 season Letowski completed 14 games for the Phoenix Coyotes, scoring two goals. In Phoenix, he spent four seasons before he was transferred in December 2001 to the Vancouver Canucks. Other stations in the National Hockey League were the Columbus Blue Jackets between 2003 and 2006 as well as the Carolina Hurricanes zwischen 2006 and 2008. Overall Letowski completed 616 games in the NHL, scoring 84 goals.

During the lockout the NHL season 2004/ 05 he ran for Fribourg- Gottéron from the Swiss National League A. During his last club Barys Astana from Kazakhstan, the striker was from August 2008 under contract and ended his career in 2010. In February 2011, he was committed after the dismissal of Dave MacQueen as interim coach of the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League.
