Trolleybuses in Rimini

The trolleybus Rimini - Riccione - Rimini - Riccione Filovia Italian called - is a trolleybus system in northern Italy. From Rimini starting operates the transport company Agenzia Mobilità provincia di Rimini ( AM) along the Adriatic coast, the overland line 11 in the neighboring town of Riccione. The 12.20 km long operation today has existed since 1 January 1939.

Operation

The line 11 is operated with seven rounds in 15 -minute intervals. Because only five trolleybuses are available, this is done in mixed operation with diesel buses. Some of the courses already ends prematurely at Rimini railway station or Piazzale Curiel in Riccione. The latter are indicated by the different line signal 11 /. In the summer season, the trolley also runs only every 15 minutes today. By 2008, however, a ten -minute intervals was common, in part was driven in 7/8-Minuten-Takt. Originally completed the route in Riccione on the Piazzale Curiel, before it was extended to 1 August 2001 to Terme. Also, at Rimini, the terminal has changed three times. At first she was on the Piazza Tre Martyrs. Once this has been converted into a pedestrian zone, together with the adjacent Via Quattro Novembre, the trolleybuses used from the November 2, 1998 for a few years at Piazzale San Girolamo. As of 15 September 2009, the line then beyond perverse 11 by the Via Aponia the central bus station in Piazzale Gramsci. Because no adjustment of the catenary infrastructure took place, the trolleybuses benützten this on a few hundred meters to their diesel auxiliary drive, the arrival and Abdrahten took place automatically. On 1 June 2011, the terminal was placed back to Piazzale San Girolamo. The trolleybuses operate here today an approximately 500 -meter-long block clockwise loop - this performs the Via Roma, Via Clementini and Via Aponia back in the Via Dante Alighieri.

Rolling stock

The five trolleybuses in 2009 by the Belgian manufacturer Van Hool low-floor articulated trams procured the type AG300T. The electrical equipment was supplied by Kiepe, the operation numbers are 6501-6505. You solved the 17 two-axle high-floor and solo vehicle with the numbers from 1001 to 1017. These were of the type Volvo / Mauri / Ansaldo B59 and were built in the years 1975 until 1977.
