Tromborn
Tromborn ( Lorraine: Tromborren ) is a commune with 354 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
The place is located in the north of Lorraine, five kilometers south-east of Bouzonville and five kilometers from the German - French border.
History
The place was known as Fontaynes 1299. Other names were Trois Fontaines ( 1333), Three Fountains (1400 ), three- Born ( 1429), Drensborn ( 1544), Tronsbouren ( 1633), Drinsborn ( 1681), Drimbouren ( 1701) and Trombourg (1715 ).
