The Troy University is a public university in Troy, Alabama. Currently enrolled at the main campus 6,177 students. The campus consists of 36 buildings to 1.9 sq km, and the adjacent Troy University Arboretum, an arboretum with an area of ​​16,186 m². History

The Troy University was founded in 1887 as Troy Normal School to train teachers with the mission and train. Since then Troy has developed into a comprehensive university.
