Tučapy (Vyškov District)

Tucapy ( German Tutschap, formerly Tuczap ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south-west of Vyškov and belongs to Okres Vyškov.

Geography

Tucapy located between the Drahany country and the Litenčické Hills in the Vyškovská Brázda ( Wischau gate). The village is located on the right bank of the river Rakovec at the mouth of the creek Habrůvka. To the east of the town leads past the highway D 1; the next exit 226 Vyškov -západ located five kilometers north-east. In the west, the railway line Brno- Přerov runs, nearest train station is Komořany u Vyškova.

Neighboring towns are Nemojany and Luleč in the north, Nosálovice, Nouzka and Rostěnice in the northeast, Zvonovice and Hlubočany in the east, Lysovice the southeast, Podbřežice and Komořany in the south, Královopolské Vážany and Vítovice the southwest, Habrovany in the west and Olšany and Račice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1358th Originally, the village belonged to the rule Luleč. After the fall of the castle Liltsch initially acquired the bishopric of Olomouc in 1462 their possessions and joined them to the episcopal Good Wischau. A little later Tucapy was submissive by Habrovany. In the land register of 1465 are for Tuczap 37 property, a mill, two taverns, one of which reported at the distillery, and two fish ponds. Owner at the time was Elizabeth of Liltsch on Habrowan. Below Tuczap was a few times backwards and forwards between the episcopal rule Wischau and the Allodialgut Habrowan. 1667 was a town hall. Ultimately, the village remained until the mid-19th century in Habrowan. The school in Tucapy extinguished before 1848, since then was teaching in Luleč.

After the abolition of patrimonial Tucapy / Tuczap formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Wischau. 1869 near the town hall of Tucapy a school was established. In the years 1884-1886 a new school building was built. 1885 formed the reading circle Svornost. In 1900, the volunteer fire department founded. 1909 was a department of the Sokol, the initially formed a branch of Sokol in Nemojany. 1924 753 people lived in the village. Tucapy was incorporated in 1976 along with Luleč after Nemojany. Since 1989, the community is Tucapy again.
