Újezdec (Prachatice District)

Újezdec ( German Aujestetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north of Vlachovo Březí in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Prachatice.

Geography

Újezdec located in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest. The village is located on the left side of the creek Újezdecký creek at the eastern foot of the hill Hora (613 m). To the north, the valley of the Černý Potok is located. To the east rises the Dolejší hora ( 577 m), in the southeast of Luh (619 m ) and southwest of the Uhřice ( 822 m). Leads through the village the main road II/144 between Volyně and Vlachovo Březí. To the north- east are the ruins of Helfenburg.

Neighboring towns are Všechlapy, Pahrbek and Tvrzice in the north, Ovčín, Javornice and Tourov in the northeast, Lipovický Mlýn, dub and Dubská Lhota in the east, Lipovice and Konopiště to the southeast, Chocholatá Lhota and Vlachovo Březí in the south, Doubrava, Uhřice and Dolni Nakvasovice in the southwest, Kovanín, Zálezly and Beneda in the west and Bušanovice, Želibořice, Úlehle and Předslavice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1300. During the 14th century, the Rosenbergs large areas acquired in the area. Ulrich von Rosenberg, was built from 1355 to Helfenburg. The Good Dub, belonged to the Újezdec, but maintained his independence as a country noble residence. To the owners of the goods belonged, among others Peter Baubinsky of Augezd, who took part in the Prague state legislatures in 1569 and 1571 and from 1608 Pavel Kavka Říčany. He was succeeded in 1651 by Miroslav Markvart Hradek. After his death the property was divided and united in 1689 by Karl Philipp Graf von Buquoys again. Subsequently, the owners changed in rapid succession. Among them were Erasmus sugar Dammfeld, after Johann Amand baron of linker and Lutzenwik. He sold the estate in 1790 to John Zadubsky of Schonthal. Two years later Jacob Veith acquired the property from him in 1810 and 1820 Johann Andreas Neuhold Nadherny. 1839 Moritz Ritter bought honey from Henikstein the Good Dub by John of Nadherny. In 1840 Augezdetz / Augezdec consisted of 33 houses with 205 inhabitants, of whom four houses with 29 inhabitants according Wällischbirken submissive. In Duber proportion lived an Israelite family. The inn was in Duber share. Vicarage was Dub. Until the mid- 19th century the village the Allodialgut Dub including Bortschitz or Fideikommissherrschaft Wällischbirken remained proportionally subservient. The inhabitants lived by agriculture.

After the abolition of patrimonial Oujezdec / Augezdetz formed in 1850 a part of the community Nakvasovice in the District Commission Strakonice and the jurisdiction Volyně. From 1878, Oujezdec was a district of the municipality Tvršice. Since 1924 Újezdec is used as the official place name. 1930 Újezdec broke loose from Tvrsice and formed its own community. 1949, the village was assigned to the Okres Prachatice. In 1964 the annexation to Tvrzice. After a referendum sparked Újezdec November 24 again in 1990 by Tvrsice off and formed its own community.
