University of New Mexico

The University of New Mexico (also called UNM ) is a public university in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to the main campus in Albuquerque maintains the university branches in Gallup, Los Alamos, Taos and Valencia County. The university was founded in 1889. 2005 24.092 students were enrolled at the university.

Sports

The sports team of UNM, the Lobos. The University is a member of the Mountain West Conference. The basketball team is in common with the American Football team the sporty flagship of the University. It takes place in one of the most famous and most traditional college arenas in the USA, the " The Pit " is called.
