Uozu, Toyama
Uozu (Japanese鱼津 市, -shi) is a city in Toyama prefecture in Japan.
Geography
Uozu is located northeast of Toyama and west of Kurobe the Sea of Japan ( Toyama bay ).
History
The former village in 1918 was the starting point of the country's rice riots.
The city Uozu was founded on April 1, 1952.
