Takaoka, Toyama
Takaoka (Japanese高 冈 市, - shi) is to Toyama 's second largest city of Toyama Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.
Geography
To the west of Takaoka is the Hill Futagami. The main part of Takaokas city area is a vast plain, which is crossed by the rivers Oyabe and Sho. The city center is located inland, bordering the Toyama - coast in the north, where the Fushiki port is located.
History
The city was founded on April 1 in 1889 of several smaller cities.
