Upton Park tube station

Upton Park is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Newham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 at the Green Street. In 2011, 11.01 million passengers used the station. In the vicinity is the Boleyn Ground, the football stadium of the club West Ham United.

The station has an island platform for trains on the District Line and the Hammersmith & City Line. However, the latter do not operate in the early morning, late evening and on Sundays. The Metropolitan Line operated Upton Park for the first time on March 30, 1936 ( the branch line towards Barking in 1988 transferred to the Hammersmith & City Line ). 1962 held the last train of the railway.
