Urenui

Urenui is a settlement in northern Taranaki region on the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 3 near the coast of the North Taranaki Bight, 13 kilometers east of Waitara and 6 km southwest of Mimi. The Urenui River flows through the village and then flows into the North Taranaki Bight.

The place had the Census 2006 429 inhabitants.

Approximately 3 km east lies the Urenui Marae, the marae of some remaining iwi Ngāti Mutunga.

The village has a primary school founded in 1876 for the 1st to 6th grade with 66 students in 2011.
