Usulután Department

Usulután is one of 14 departments in El Salvador and is located in the south of the country on the Pacific coast.

The capital of the department is the city of Usulután. Founded the Department on June 22, 1865. Usulután The name comes from the Nahuatl language and means something like "place of ocelots ."

In Usulután is the same volcano Usulután, as well as the volcano Tecapa. The most famous beaches in El Salvador are also Usulután.
