Utrecht–Rotterdam railway

The Utrecht -Rotterdam railway line is a railway line between Rotterdam and Utrecht. The railway line is one of the most important and busiest lines in the Netherlands. The distance is about 60 kilometers.

History

The first section between Utrecht and Gouda was opened on 21 May 1855. A month later, the piece between Gouda and Rotterdam - Boerengat. Train services

Currently operating on the route the inter-city trains from Utrecht to Rotterdam CS CS in 15 -minute intervals, as well as the inter-city trains from Utrecht via Gouda to The Hague, which also run in 15 -minute intervals and two Inter-City trains which depart from Utrecht Woerden about every half hour to Leiden.
