Vançais

Vançais is a commune with 268 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Deux -Sèvres in the Poitou -Charentes. It belongs administratively to the district Niort and Canton Lezay.

Geography

Vançais is located in the historic landscape Poitou, about 38 kilometers southwest of the city of Poitiers. The municipality is bordered to the south by the River Dive and north of the Vienne. Neighboring municipalities are Chenay and Lezay in the West, Sainte -Soline in the south, Rome in the East and Saint- Sauvant in the north.
